1 pound salmon fillets with skin still intact
olive oil
lemon wedges

For this dish you will need a roasting pan or baking sheet, and a roll of aluminum foil. Make sure to preheat the oven at 425 degrees F. Line the roasting pan or baking sheet with aluminum foil. This will make sure that the fillets will not stick on the roasting pan.

Before adding any seasoning, make sure that the salmon is dry. You can do this by simply drying it with a paper towel.

Drizzle some olive oil on each salmon fillet and rub it so that each fillet each evenly coated with oil. After that, sprinkle the fillet with salt and pepper to taste.

Place the salmon on the roasting pan, making sure that the skin side is facing down. Cook it in the oven for about 4 to 8 minutes, depending on the thickness of each fillets. Most salmon fillets are about an inch thick, so for a rather rare touch, cook it for about four minutes. A thoroughly cooked salmon will probably take around 6 to 8 minutes to achieve.

You can easily check if the salmon is properly cooked when it is easily flaked. When the salmon is flaked easily with a fork, it means it is already cooked. Take it out of the oven, squeeze some lemon and serve immediately.

If there are any leftovers, you can just store it in a fridge. Leftover salmon can last for about five days. Should you feel the need to eat one, you can just reheat it in a microwave.
